Goodbye Bronx, Hello Lower East Side

For over the past month, I've been staying at my friend's in the Bronx. I'm forever grateful to my friend, who welcomed me into her home and treated me like family. She and her kids give me a sense of comfort and belonging that I yearn for when I'm apart from my parents and sisters. I always looked forward to coming home to hang out with her five-year-old daughter, a clever diva-in-the-making, and her 12-year-old son (for some reason, I always thought he was 10), a sweet boy who never gives his mom trouble. If the commute wasn't so long, I'd live there indefinitely, but I couldn't handle the distance so I decided to move into the city to the Lower East Side.

I need to post pictures and write more about my neighborhood but I'm going to bed now...on the wooden floors since I don't have my mattress yet. Oh joy.
