A Pre-Proposal on the Empire State Building

My friend's boyfriend asked if I could help him get his girlfriend to the top of the Empire State Building so he can surprise her with a proposal.

He thought it was going to be easy for me to convince her so I accepted the mission.

But it wasn't really easy. She resisted at first and I had to get her friends to play along and persuade her to go.

Once we got to the top, I stalled and took a bunch of pictures while I was waiting for her boyfriend to appear. She looked annoyed at me (she was late for her dinner reservation).

He finally appeared and I started to take pictures of them, expecting that she was going to like the surprise.

But things never go as planned. Turned out that she's not a fan of surprises in public spaces so he ended up proposing (successfully) in a more private place after we left the Empire State Building. I may not have witnessed a complete down-on-one-knee proposal that night but at least I got an awesome view of the city.
