My friend lives in Bal Harbour, which is a quiet neighborhood north of Miami Beach.

Bal Habour Beach. The warm ocean had gentle rolling waves...along with a giant jellyfish. I didn't want it to sting me and then have to have my friend pee on me so I got out of the water.

Tourists, joggers and rollerbladers go up and down this path that parallels South Beach.

Chairs and umbrellas line South Beach's soft white sand.

There were a lot of Europeans. This man had the happiest look on his face as he did the catwalk...perhaps he knew we were watching.

In case you wanted to see the back of flag...

Espanola Way, a small street that's mostly filled with restaurants. Since the weather is usually warm in Miami, almost all the restaurants have outdoor seating.

The main street, Collins Avenue, has retail stores and restaurants. As I walked past all the boutiques, I started to notice a trend among the clothes--fugly shirts and tops with glitter, shiny studs and colorful prints that reminds me of low rider cars with graffiti-like designs on them. It looked like Christian Audigier and Ed Hardy bought out the stores.

Ocean Blvd, where people sit outside the hotels and restaurants and watch other people.

The Rose Bar at the Delano.

Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park.

We went walking through the nature trails.
And we saw a lot of nature. These giant spiders were everywhere.

According to the brochure, there are over 50 types of butterflies at that park. I only saw two types.
Wind surfers at Matheson Hammock Park. I was more interested in the mansion. I could house my entire family and have 10 English Bulldogs.

When we were walking along the trail, a bicyclist passed us and told us that there was a big puddle ahead. Eh, a puddle wasn't a big deal. So we kept walking and came across a flooded area. We treaded through the water but decided to turn around when there was no end in sight. Apparently the man needs to learn English.
We didn't feel like walking all the way back in the water so we cut across the trees and hopped across the fence to get onto dry land.
One of the trees that I grabbed on to had crabs crawling around.
Maybe if spiders were prettier looking, I wouldn't want to kill them.

Coral Gables is filled with old banyan trees like these. I'm in awe when I'm around giant trees. Maybe it's because I'm an ant next to them or maybe it's because they've been around for so long that they're worthy of reverence. I was bothered by the carvings that people left on the tree. It's like they cut the tree and didn't think the tree would feel it.
Omg, I'm so itchy right now from the bug bites.
