I Love Pretty Men - NYC Pride March

I love going to parades. Bulldogs, Chinese New Year, Halloween...you name it, I'll go to it. I get a sense of joy being surrounded by happy people who have a reason to celebrate. And NYC's LGBT community definitely knows how.

Today's parade commemorates the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, which marked the beginning of the gay liberation movement.

The parade started with chicks on bikes.

...followed by men on bikes. I'm digging the chest hair.

The Bear flag, which represents the community of big, gay men. Think the opposite of male Armani models.

I wonder what he's hiding underneath?

Ta-da! He said, "What til you see me at Christopher Street." I'd rather not. If this was any other day, he would be labeled as a creepster.

A lot of marchers brought their children. It was a good family event if you don't include the men gyrating in speedos, which you will see later.

Mayor Mike Bloomberg.

I'm not sure why they have Aboriginal body art on themselves.

I give her props for walking in stripper heels for over 50 city blocks.

I think this float belongs to the Amsterdam Tourism Ministry. Someone needs to tell the two Asian shims that they're on the wrong float.

At first I thought they were two odd-looking Japanese girls but then I remembered that I was at a gay parade.

Dogs can be gay too.

Delta offers a gay travel service. And I mean this in the most literal way possible.

The guy on the right will eventually look like the guy on the left if he steps up his flag routine.

I've always suspected Pinocchio was gay. At least in Shrek he was.

The Pope?

A Manicorn.

No one cared to tell him that his crack was showing.

Or maybe he didn't want a bad tan line.

There's so many things I can say about this photo but I'm not.

Same with this one.

The other American flag.

A tribute to the King of Pop.

Except this guy was also part Kanye West.
