Pumpkin Spice Frozen Custard

Every time I'm on the phone with my younger sister, it seems like she's always heading over to Golden Spoon. The thought of the different frozen yogurt flavors--cookies and cream, chocolate mint, cafe latte, peanut butter cup, and my fav holiday flavor, pumpkin pie--makes me salivate and go into a food trance. I have yet to find a place in NY that has froyo (frozen yogurt) that's comparable to Golden Spoon, but today was fate, or as Mark would say, kismet. I went on Shake Shack's website to see what their flavor of the day was, and it was none other than pumpkin spice! Yeah-ya!

I didn't care that it was 50 degrees out, my hands were losing sensation, and my nose was so cold that if I had snot running down, I couldn't feel it. The frozen custard, a combination of soft serve and premium ice cream, was so thick and creamy and freakin' delicious. Of course I give it a party-in-my-mouth rating! The good part about the weather was that I could take my time savoring each bite and not worry about the custard melting.
