When I lived in the transfer apartment at UCLA for my undergrad, I had a roomie who would seriously use a whole roll of toilet paper within two days. I didn't get it. Her ass wasn't huge. Yet every time I put in a new roll, it would be gone. The annoying part was that she never replaced the roll herself. After awhile, I would bring in my own roll and take it with me when I was done. Petty? Perhaps. But it was about the principles!
Four years later, I find myself in the same predicament. My current roomies won't buy toilet paper when it's their turn. Since two of them are guys, they don't need toilet paper most of the time and probably have some strategic plan to go #2 at certain times of the day in public restrooms. But one of the roomie's girlfriend is always here (practically the 5th roommate) so I'm wondering what she's using. I have my secret stash but it shouldn't be like this! I need to hurry up and finish school so I can get out of here!

You don't need to leave NY, you jst need to get new roommates. Ones that like TP but don't use it all up. Besides, you can't leave until I come and visit!! :)
