I'm Thankful

This is the first time that I've been away from my family during Thanksgiving. When my grandma was alive, we would make the 7 hour drive up to San Francisco to spend Thanksgiving with them. As much as I hated the long drive, I would give anything to do that again. I just miss being with them.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, here are the most important things that I'm thankful for:

1. My family--the most giving and caring people who think of others before they think of themselves. They are the first people I call when I have something happy or sad to share.
2. My friends--they it real and keep me real. Whether they are in California or New York, they enrich my life and give me great experiences to look back on.
3. My health--mental, emotional, and physical--I'm fortunate to be born the way that I am. Everyday I pass by a homeless person, physically disabled person or mentally sick person and wonder how different life would be if I were in his/her shoes.
